THE KLP APPROACH
Beautiful portraits. Real moments. Both belong in your gallery.
I am very serious about making sure you look good and equally serious about making sure you don’t feel like you’re performing for a camera all day. I used to be painfully shy until modeling forced me onto the other side of the lens, so I completely understand that very specific feeling of suddenly forgetting how your hands work the second a camera is pointed at you. Or feeling a little potato-ish even though you objectively look great. You will never be left standing there wondering what to do or how you look.
I’ll guide you, hype you up, fix the tiny things you can’t see, remind you to stand straight, and absolutely ask what you’re most self-conscious about, which side you love, and what you actually want out of your photos. Hello — you’re paying me to photograph you! They should look like you on your very best day, not like you were dropped into somebody else’s Pinterest board. And while I love a beautifully composed portrait, I’m also watching for everything happening just outside of it, the laugh immediately after, the hand squeeze, your mom losing it in the corner, your friends being ridiculous, the moments you didn’t even know I caught.
My approach blends intentional editorial portraiture with candid storytelling giving you direction when you need it and space to actually experience your wedding when you don’t.

I will certainly ask you personable questions, play with your child, dance with your grandparents and tell aunt Brenda that we've taken 6 photos, I'm sure she wasn't blinking in at least one of them- so you don't have to. Or if you have a vendor acting up, I'll be the first to check them so you can relax.
